Behind the wall
Well I'm behind the wall of the New York Times. I signed up for a 14 day free trial of Times Select and so far I don't think it is worth it. Yeah it's great to read their op-eds(truth be known, I can do that anyway with lexisnexus but was always too lazy to do searches) and there a few things but it's not bloody amazing.
I'm listening to Thomas Friedman and Joseph Stiglitz speaking about globalisation. It is being chaired by Ted Koppel. I thought it would be really cool to listen as there two of the most prolific and influential writers on globalisation but wow, the sound is horrible. Absolutely horrible. The voices are distorted and basically not worth listening too. It is too jarring. I've decided to end it 5 minutes into the show.
I wasn't going to actually pay money for it anyway before I decided to apply for the subscription and nothing so far has change my mind
